Observational skills in the garden

It’s been a very “interesting” growing season this year. And when I say “interesting,” I mean weird! Things that I can count on every year are a little off (like my indigo) and things that have struggled in the past are taking off (like coreopsis!) It’s never a dull moment in my garden, especially as I try to grow things basically in the woods. One of the many skills that are honed in the garden are observational skills - nothing goes by the book so observing is a great way to really understand what your plants need, not just what the internet says your plants need.
